A gate in Millthorpe that would not shut.

The hinge side had dropped, the latch side had swollen, and the owner had already bought a new latch that was never going to reach. We took the latch back off, packed the top hinge, and used the long screws that live under the counter. It shuts. It will drop again in a year because the post is in the ground and the ground moves.

If yours does the same, bring a photo of the hinge, not the whole fence. I don’t need the whole fence.
